To gain a better understanding of the planning needs in
the County, the General Plan team met with individuals
and groups from throughout the County to discuss Lake
County's future.
These interviews and
workshops helped identify a broad range of opportunities
and issues to be addressed in the update to the General
Plan. While all input will be used in the formulation of
the General Plan, nine key issue areas were identified
based on the input received. These nine key issue areas
are used in this report to frame critical policy choices
and to present alternatives to address these issues. The
nine key issues are:

C. Jobs/ Economic Development
D. Water Resources
E. Traffic
F. Natural Resources
G. Agriculture
H. Tourism
I. Land Use
