A general plan is often referred to as the “constitution” for
land use and resource planning to emphasize its importance in
the decision-making process. The Lincoln General Plan provides
the City with a consistent framework for land use and resource
decision-making. The General Plan's diagrams, goals, policies,
and implementation measures will form the basis for City zoning,
subdivisions, specific plans, and City projects.
This CD contains the main documents prepared for the Lincoln
General Plan program, including the final General Plan and Land
Use and Circulation Diagram,
adopted in March 2008. Just use the menu at the top of this page
to find the information you need.
Over time it is common for general plans to
be amended to meet a community's changing needs. Always
check with the Lincoln Community Development Department to
ensure you have the latest version of the plan.
